Laura Pavlov out did herself with Loving Romeo. I’m not sure if I can put into words how much I love this story.

My weakness is underdog, wrong side of the tracks heroes and Romeo won my heart from the very beginning. He’s jaded and it’s not surprising, but I love that he’s prepared to change. He loves hard and that’s evident when you meet the Ride or Die crew. Romeo is so protective of Demi even when he doesn’t want to like her; cue many swoon worthy moments from this man.
Demi is such a gorgeous, sunny soul. She has the most amazing capacity for love and forgiveness. There is an incredible strength in her and I loved how she stood up for herself and those she loved.
Together they encompass unconditional love.

I am completely in love with this whole series already. Yes, it’s the first book but Laura Pavlov has created the most wonderful group of friends and I adore how they welcomed Demi into their fold with open arms. The show stealer may have been Beefcake with his attitude and swagger; I would love to see him get his happily ever after one day. I am beyond excited for the rest of this series.

I can’t even tell you how much I loved this book. The setting of Magnolia Falls is a great new small town world for all of us. I fell in love with Romeo and Demi immediately. Romeo may be a fighter (not always a sport I like to read about) but he’s quite a lover too. Romeo’s friends are amazing and I can’t wait to read each of their stories.
I guess it’s considered a slow burn because there isn’t a spicy scene til about halfway through, but the storyline is so good I didn’t even realize I’d read so much of the story before the juicy stuff happened.
I don’t want to give away too much of the story, but trust me when I say it’s a must read.

Thank you Valentine PR for my ARC of this book.

Loving Romeo is the first in the Magnolia Falls series that loves Demi and Romeo. Demi is the daughter of the towns wealthy business man who is well known for being his way. Demi only wants to make a name for herself without living in her trust fund. Romeo is the town bad guy. He was wrongfully arrested as a teen and used his skills in boxing to build a career for himself until he made it pro and his father passed away during a fight. Romeo quite boxing and opened up a boxing gym in town instead.

Romeo's and Demi's families both do not like each other. They are both on different sides of the tracks in this small town. Their love is forbidden and yet the chemistry between is pulling them closer and closer together. Both of their pasts will test their relationship.

Loving Romeo was a sweet grumpy and sunshine sports romance. Demi and Romeo is that couple you know are perfect for each other. You can't help, but be invested. Demi and Romeo are definitely my top favorite book couples. I can't wait to see what the rest of the Magnolia Falls has in store for us.

I want to thank Valentine PR and Laura Pavlov for the opportunity to read this ARC! I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read more books by Laura Pavlov.

My Thoughts
4.5/5 stars ⭐️
2/5 spice level 🌶️

Loving Romeo kicks off the Magnolia Falls series, and it's a stellar introduction. This may top my list of Laura Pavlov's works!

What drew me in was the enemies-to-lovers dynamic between the two main characters, evolving into a heartwarming friendship and then blooming into something more. The romance depicted was simply beautiful, and both characters captured my heart, especially the way Romeo falls for her – it's sweet and profound.

Demi stands out as a strong and independent character, determined to run her coffee shop on her terms, without relying on her family. Her ability to assert herself and confront challenges adds depth to her character. On the other hand, Romeo's past has left him slow to trust, but when he does, his protectiveness and love shine through. I couldn't help but fall for him.

In this book, you will find a lot of family conflicts, a family that thought that nothing could separate them until all the dirty secrets were revealed. The added layer of family dynamics adds a compelling twist to the storyline.

A standout feature for me was the concept of found family, and Romeo's close-knit group of brothers was a highlight of the book. The camaraderie among them, especially in their hilarious group chats, added an extra layer of enjoyment. I'm rooting for each of them to get their own books – the chemistry among the friends is too good to pass up.

While some of the drama at the end was a bit predictable for me, it didn't take away from the overall wonderful experience of the book. If you love any of the tropes listed above, pick this one up!

This book captured me and immersed me in a world I never wanted to leave. I absolutely fell in love with Magnolia Falls, Romeo and his friends, Cutler and how supportive Lincoln and Brinkley were of Romeo and his relationship.

Romeo and Demi from their first meeting had me dying to see how everything would progress between them. Every interaction between Romeo and Demi just made you root for them that much more. I loved how supportive they both were of each other personally and professionally.

Romeo was so grumpy and rude but I knew I’d love him from his inner dialogue about the interaction. And Demi was just so good. She’s the always sunny personality, just looks for the good in everything and everyone and is nice to absolutely everyone.

I absolutely fell in love with Romeo and his group of friends along with Magnolia Falls. I am so excited to read River’s book to see what happens next.

I know I went into depression mode after Cottonwood Cove was over but how exciting is it to have a new series from Laura?! The Magnolia Falls series follows a friend group of five guys that grew up together and um, hi, I am in love with all of them and we are only on the first book. Can we convince Laura to write a why choose?

Loving Romeo is an enemies to lovers, boxer romance and it hit hard. This series is definitely going to a have different tone than her others and I am here for it.

I fell so hard for this book. Romeo and Demi definitely start off on the wrong foot. They have some rocky history, except Demi knows nothing about it. She can’t fathom why Romeo is so rude to her. But holy hell, does this man do a total 180 and just fall so head over heels for the woman he despised for so long.

Demi and Romeo will forever have me in a chokehold. The communication in this one was magnificent. They had a lot of hurdles to jump through. It wasn’t always easy or pretty but they were always in other one’s corner.

This one had me going through the emotions. I was laughing, blushing, swooning and even at one point I had water leaking from eyes. Beefcake totally stole the show and probably the whole series. That little boy has some serious swagger and had me cracking up… Do we see a Cutler and Gracie second gen book in our future??

I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. Just tattoo RoD on my forehead because I’m obsessed.
