This book is emotional and gripping. The way it is written in short chapters with big plot twists makes it difficult to put down. I really enjoyed how it was written to also include the perspective of a sociopath, a voice that isn’t usually focused upon in crime mystery books. I also enjoyed how this second book in the series enabled readers to learn more about DI Kim Stone’s life and provided multiple opportunities for character development.

Evil Games is a cross between police procedural and a psychological thriller, my favorite! 😍   I absolutely love Detective Kim Stone.  She’s the perfect protagonist.  She’s excellent at her job and has all the flaws needed for a perfectly unbalanced main character.  What separates this series from others, is that these books are disturbing and horrifying, but very realistic.  There is a lot to digest with this book, a lot of really sensitive topics were brought up.  Evil Games is a roller coaster of emotions, mostly terrifying and sad.  The best part about this book is that the plot is highly original, I’ve never read anything like it before!  I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the next twist the whole time, a real page turner.  Before I even had finished the book, I was adding the other 12 books to my wishlist 😂 I need more of Kim and her badass detective skills while also dealing with her past.  Thanks to @firepitandbooks I now have a new addiction.  I highly recommend you check out this book series!
