This one may be our favourite we have listened to so far. Again narrated by NPH, Henry and his dog, Ribsy, have one funny mishap after another. very enjoyable!

Elliott started this one on audiobook but got spooked by the scene where Henry thinks that the policeman is going to shoot Ribsy. He refused to go back to it for a long time until he finally agreed that maybe it wouldn't be too scary if we read it together.

Fun story about Henry and his continuing adventures with Ribsy. That dog can get into a lot of trouble! :)

Good Ol' Henry & Ribsy. I have loved Beverly Cleary's books since I was little. We listened to some of Henry and Ramona's books when my kids were younger, but we never did this one. So when we needed a short audio book for today, I picked out this 2 1/2 hour one. It's read by Neil Patrick Harris, who does an excellent job. We all enjoyed it and laughed out loud a few times.

Henry must keep Ribsy out of trouble so that they go on a fishing trip with his father. Of course Ribsy gets into trouble all with good intentions. There are also bad haircuts, Ramona being a pest, and other antics with friends. I don’t love these as I do the Ramona books - but they are still fun - and it’s interesting to see how beezus and Ramona figure in these earlier stories.

I'm nowhere near as keen on the Henry Huggins books as the Ramona ones, so this one is automatically my fave of them so far for the "Ramona and the PTA" chapter.

Henry and Ribsy by Beverly Cleary – Henry is an adorable optimist! Personally, keeping Risby out of trouble would sound like a lost cause to me! A fun story! Happy Reading!
