There were a lot of times were Persephone was making me angry.
She was giving me whiplash and not anything like how she was in book one.
This sort of entitled, bratty behaviour, that she needed things to go her way because she wanted it to and consequences be damned.

But I still enjoyed the book so it got 4 stars.
I even started tearing up at one small part - maybe because I'm really emotional so it didn't help haha.
But onto Hades POV.
The last book is supposedly coming out end of March? Damn I'm reading these too fast lol

I love this book and this series. It has just the right amount of modern conveniences in it along side the stories and characters of Greek mythology. There are some parts that get a little frustrating because the miscommunication/assumption trope is strong and Persephone can be whiny but overall I love it. I also highly recommend reading the companion read A Game of Retribution which is Hades POV, which in my opinion is even better. Hades is funny and a very interesting character.

Persephone's public relationship with Hades disrupts her life and risks exposing her divine identity. Hades' dark past and a tragic event drive a wedge between them, with Hades refusing to assist her. Desperate, Persephone makes dangerous bargains, questioning if she can truly be Hades' queen amidst the turmoil.

Overall rating: 3.5/5

I enjoyed this continuation of the story between Hades and Persephone, especially with their relationship going public. However, I found myself frustrated with Persephone's refusal to reveal her divine identity. Despite this, the tragedy and the bargains that follow are intriguing, and I can't wait to read Hades' perspective on these events.
