It was well written, and the smut was fun, but the characters were kinda meh to me. The FMC just has things happening to her and she quickly gives up on trying to get out of the situation. And then in the end he just forgives the MMC really quickly. The MMC was more interesting, but he couldn’t save it for me.
I wish with the two endings they were more different from each other. I ended up reading both, and both were weak compared to the rest of the story for me. I think it would have been a whole lot better if the author didn’t have a lot of the same dialog for each endings.
I’m not mad that I read this, and for the most part I enjoyed it. The author’s writing just isn’t for me at the end of the day.

Oh wow!
First, I don't even know how long I had this book in my Kindle library (most likely it was one of those random SYKD downloads), but as I decided to start going through my TBR list, it happened that My turn finally got its turn.

I didn't expect much. This is the 1st time I've heard about this author. Tbh, I feel like I might discovered a potential booktok/ bookstagram hit because (cue TikTok trend sound Headlock by Imogen Heap) this book did a BOOM 💣💣💣 in my head and even after 2 weeks I can't stop thinking about it.

I feel like so many books are now sold under a dark romance but, maybe because I have read so many of them, nowadays I rarely think that they truly are. But My turn IS!!! This book is brutal!!! (in a good way). I can't describe my reactions to some of the things I have read in this book. Sh*t, even now thinking about it, I'm left speechless. TRIGGER WARNINGS, people mind ALL TRIGGER WARNINGS, because, yeah, you need to fully understand that this book is not for the faint of heart (or stomach, because it will make you physically nauseous).

And, the ending - chefs kiss! Mrs DeRose, you are the 1st author I have read after a long long time who wrote a true dark romance with a really effed-up FMC and MMC and a really effed-up storyline that had the most realistic ending EVER!
The author wrote two endings - one is not a happy end, and the 2nd one is. I read both and the not HEA is my choice as it describes the most reasonable way how to finish this particular story. When the whole book is one huge mental rollercoaster ride, with the two most disturbing MCs, it cannot finish with "everyone lived happily ever after".

But if you are wondering why I gave 0,5 stars less (and not a full 5) it is because I feel there were some cracks in the storyline that needed to be addressed better (the storyline didn't suffer as much, it just that I wanted to read more about some characters and events).

This book was f*ked up in the best of ways.
My watch kept telling me my HR was high because of how psycho Erebus/Jayce is. the twists and turns will give you whiplash. Once you think you figured something out, something else happens that makes you question it all.
Joyce has an Obsession that is definitely not healthy and very dangerous and while i don't condone stalking....ummm he can be my stalker!

I was wide-eyed reading this whole thing. Jayce was unapologetically unhinged, in a way that pushes him past the book-boyfriend list. I was captivated and I loved that there was a choose-your-own-ending feature.

A dark stalker romance with a twist.
This book was amazing, the plot was delightful and the spice was just right but the endings. (Yes there’s 2) were fabulous.
Do you want the HEA or not.!
I loved how for both cases the epilogue was the same and I’m hoping there is going to be another book around Alicia.

The different endings was odd..

This was not a good book. The FMC was a total airhead, too stupid to live, completely undeveloped, and annoying. The MMC was too over the top. The author was trying so hard to make him 'dark' that it was just cringe. The choose your own adventure ending was dumb and felt like a gimmicky cop-out. I wasn't impressed by this book, and I won't be seeking out any of the author's other work.
