I wish I had this book in late middle school. I loved graphic novels and could have used a warm, loving, healthy coming of age gay romance book.

I can't tell if I like it because I watched the series, or if I just genuinely like it. Either way, it's very wholesome and made me happy.

I held off reading this for so long. Not for any particular reason I just couldn’t find it pulling my attention. But on a very cold and rainy March morning I thought I’d give it a try. I devoured it within an hour and loved it so much. I see so much of myself in both Nick and Charlie and it’s so nice to see yourself reflected back in a book. It’s a lovely, soft, loving and quick read, and I know the whole series is going to be amazing now.

This was adorable.
I fell in love with our main characters even though I spent only a short period of time with them.
I was smiling the whole way throught.

Heartstopper follows the protagonist, Charlie Spring, as he navigates high school after being outed as gay. After being mostly shunned away by everyone and being involved in a toxic relationship with another boy, Ben, Charlie meets Nick Nelson, who he begins a romance with.

I really liked this story. I really liked the art style and I really liked all the characters (except Ben, all my homies hate Ben) I also identify greatly with the internal struggle that Charlie had to go through after being outed. I also went into toxic relationships and friendships where the other party only wanted to be seen with me when no one was watching.

Overall, I'm excited to read the rest of the series.

This was such a sweet story! Very easy and enjoyable read, found it relatable to my own queer experience.
