This book is by 24 screamingly hilarious and scared by their too traumatic awkward sexual encounters that they didn't want to be mentioned-authors. (Actually just so many it would take up most of this review so I didn't list them, but seriously, they are f***ing hilarious.)
I am a big fan of anthologies, especially when an anthology is done right. What does that mean?
This was an excellent (screaming tears of hilarity) put together anthology. Seriously I had tears running down my face on multiple occasions. I took time out of my day to read, out loud, passages to my co-workers so they could enjoy the pure awkwardness and hilarity of what I was reading. Oh yes, this book is just that good. Did my co-workers enjoy it? They were my prisoners captivated by my every word so of course they did. MWAHAHAHAHAHA.
(P.S. I haven't seem to scar anyone, yet.)
I challenge you to refrain from laughing or thinking to yourself, "Oh, my God. I've done that." Or. "Dear Lord. Is someone video taping my awkward sex life?" Because let's face it, sex isn't always red rose petals, champagne and soft lighting. No, it can be ER visits, sex toys gone horribly wrong, or children walking in at the most inopportune moments. So please pick up F***ing Awkward today. You won't regret it.
Aside from this a side-splitting funny read, I know I've also found multiple new authors to add to my "must check them out" list. One more bonus to picking up a great anthology, plus when you buy this book you donate to charity. This is a total win-win.

Did this book contain cringe worthy scenes? Yes. Most definitely yes. But it was overall hilarious! I would have to say the cringy parts added to the humor (making them even better). There are 24 authors apart of this book, so there are so many different styles of writing. It's thoroughly entertaining!

F*cking Awkward Charity Anthology
24 authors, 24 funny short stories about embarrassing sex.
Raise your hand if you have ever had something embarrassing happen to you during sex.
C'mon. Nobody has walked in on you? Heard you moaning and banged on the wall? Lost a sex toy in your body? Lost a condom in your vag? Did you fart during sex? Have something stuck on your partner's dick? Have him find a tampon you forgot to remove? Queef? Vomit on his dick? Get locked in handcuffs or knotted into ropes? Been stared down by a pet (or licked by one) during sex? Some of theses *may* have happened to me more than once. Well if you think these are mortifying yet funny, wait till you see what 24 amazingly funny authors came up with in F*cking Awkward, all for charity.
I literally read some of the stories like this.
It was almost like watching a train wreck! Everything is all sexy and hot...but you know something is going to happen! Eeek! What will it be this time? I think I even had Mr. Ana cupping his balls once or twice when he asked why I was laughing.
The nice thing about F*cking Awkward, besides it being for a favorite charity (The Bookworm Box), is that you know these are all short, funny, unrelated stories. So you can read a few at a time as funny palate cleansers between emotional books. I intended to do that, but had trouble putting it down.
From the prologue written by my favorite funny author, Tara Sivec, to a bunch of authors I always wanted to read (I've only read 4, but more have been at my event, Wicked Book Weekend), now I need to read every one of them!

I consider myself a nice person. So much so, that I almost felt guilty laughing at these fictional character's expense!
“Oh, shit,” he murmured, more to himself than to her. “Oh, shit! Oh, shit!” she screamed. “What? What’s wrong?” “I’m on fire! Holy shit, what did you do?”
There was also some mentions of my favorite color!
“Oh my God! It’s swollen and purple!”
If you have read any of these authors in the past, I think that many of the stories visit with some characters from their other books. But I never felt like I wasn't following, or needed to know more to enjoy. These are all just funny scenes, but they each read like short stories with beginnings, middles and ends. I can't even pick a favorite.
While I normally do Likes and Dislikes here, there are too many unrelated stories to do that. And quite honestly, I really loved everything, from the unique idea, to the charity, to every story. The only thing I wished was that there was a way to know which author I am reading while I am reading it (my wish for all anthologies).
The Down & Dirty
The F*cking Awkward Anthology is one of the best ideas ever! How many of us haven't been embarrassed or had an awkward sex moment? (Sex on the beach or in the shower is awkward every single time in real life!) It was a rare treat to read when a perfect sex scene goes wrong. I loved each story in the anthology and I am dying to read more from each author. While I will often read a book just because it is a charity book, this one is a must read even if the digital profits weren't being donated to The Bookworm Box Charity.
Rating: 5 stars, 4.5 heat (it's dirty, but don't expect to enjoy it for long!)

This anthology was pretty good. Some of the stories were laugh out loud funny, some were just meh. But all together it was a decent, nice easy read and some of the stories I liked so much I'll be getting the books they came from to read the whole book.

I picked up this book to read R.E. Hunter's story, but stayed to read all of them. Some were really ridiculous and not worth it. Others were really hilarious and made me want to read the books the stories are based off them. Either way, great way to kill time here and there when I was in between books.

These just didn't work for me. Each story is very, very short to the point that I was just getting to like the characters and it was over. Anthologies and novellas are rarely my cup of tea though.

Super fun and super awkward!
This is a book made up of 24 different short stories from different authors all surrounding the most awkward and hilarious sex scenes imaginable. Some of them had me laughing hysterically and cringing in the best way possible while a few had me just reading through. It's a really light, fun, and quick read. And all the proceeds go to charity! So you get some good laughs, and it's for a good cause, what's not love about that?!
I haven't read any of the books some of the characters in this are from and a part of me really wants too for a couple of them! Knowing that, I couldn't fully connect to the characters since it is just a bunch of short stories but overall I did really enjoy it! It's especially good to read here and there on your kindle when you've got a couple minutes to spear and want something to entertain you! Or if you're in-between books or finished something with some angst and want something really fluffy and fun! You'll definitely get a good laugh from this one!
