This was a really fun, cute fake dating, workplace romance. Everly is hilarious. She's struggled with dating and when her boss, Shepard, calls her to fill in as his fake girlfriend to keep his money hungry ex at a distance, she happily fills in. But can she handle "dating" him and not falling in love?

There was one aspect of the plot that kind of gave me the ick. It honestly had no bearing on the plot and could have been left out. It became the catalyst for the third act breakup but it could have gone without it, they could have talked about it, or Everly could have told her sister flat out no.

This was good and it did what I needed. Fake dating for the win. This book didn’t blow my mind or make me swoon but it filled my romance book tank up just fine. It wasn’t super unique, but I’ve read so many books like this it’s hard to be and honestly that’s not what I’m looking for. Usually I much prefer having similarities within this trope, it’s why I keep reading it. I wasn’t bothered by either of the characters which is also always a plus.

I don’t really know why I re read this other than it a book that has sort of stuck with me since 2020. I’m not changing the rating tho. My main comment this time is the ending is too long after they reconcile.

Despite the wacky script, I like the author's writing and it was funny.
A good read to disconnect your brain

me perturba qué el padre se meta con personas más jóvenes que el y me dio risa que el momento de drama y revelación fue como ah bueno

Another winner from Claire

Cute and flirty with a deeper arc, this book is resoundingly good. It’s hot where it should be and serious when it needs to be. There’s angst but not so much that it feels manufactured, and a couple I LOVED. Especially their growth, together and as individuals.

Faking Ms. Right is the first book that I have read by this author. I signed up to review this book because I was going to be able to meet Claire Kingsley at the Readers and Romance book signing and I am very happy that I did. This is a feels good romance.

This is Everly Dalton and Shepherd Calloways story.

Everly is by far the best executive assistant to Shepherd he has ever had and she is a lasting EA. She has worked for him for a few years. No one has lasted that long.

Now Shepherd has a hair-brained idea after breaking up with his Bulgarian model girlfriend, Svetlana. Since Svetlana now shows up on his father, Richard’s arm. His idea is to get Everly to pose as his “fake girlfriend”. But, things get carried away and now she needs to move in with him to carry on the charade.

Well you know how things can turn topsy-turvy and it does. I love the outcome though!

BTW I love Hazel and Nora, Everly’s BFF’s they do have her back! I am hoping they get their own story too!

I loved reading Faking Ms Right and I can’t wait to read more by this author! This is a truly enjoyable romance. 4.5 Stars

I was not expecting to love this book so much, but Everly totally won be over. I LOVE HER. Her inner monologue was so great and I love how effortlessly she was able to make Shep lose all control. Overall such a good book. Svetlana was the worst, Everly brightened my day, and Nora is a queen and I can't wait for her story!

Well, that was a fun little trope-y surprise. I could not put this down. Watch me go read this whole series in one sitting.

4.5 Stars- this was super cute. I enjoyed the mindlessness of the story and the characters interactions. Opposites attract in so many ways. I’m glad they worked it all out and figured the two gay couples would come to an agreement about sperm donations.
