A decent workplace romance overall. I enjoyed the story, especially watching Shepherd gradually open up to Everly. The fake dating trope was really cute, and I loved seeing their slow-burn connection turn into something real.

Terminar el año leyendo a Claire Kingsley es un reflejo de lo muchísimo que me ha gustado esta autora. Le tenía muchísimas ganas a este libro porque ya sólo por los tropes sabía que me iba a gustar: fake dating, ella tiene que mudarse a la casa de él, ambiente de oficina, jefe-empleada, él multimillonario... y todo mezclado con la maravillosa prosa de Claire Kinsgley. Ah, y unos personajes secundarios que me muero por seguir leyendo y conociendo porque el Dirty Martiny Running Club es una maravilla y me ha hecho reír muchísimo.
Lo dicho, un libro fabuloso al que no puedo ponerle ni un pero. Me ha encantado!

Me leí el libro anterior que era sobre Everly y logré empatizar con ella así que estaba emocionada por leer su libro. Me gustó ella como protagonista, sentí que tenía sus objetivos claros en su vida personas y en su trabajo. También me gustó el lado oculto de Sheperd y que solo al comienzo se lo haya compartido a Ev.
Me encantaron como pareja, igual ya sabía que me iba a atrapar porque tienen el trope de fake dating y a mí me gusta leer como lo falso de convierte en realidad después. Me gustó aunque sentí aburrida la última parte del libro.

This book has been on my TBR for a while. I finally decided to take the plunge and I’m so glad I did. This book was pure happy making. Sheppard and Everly are your definitive Grumpy Sunshine. Right off the bat you want to be friends with Everly. She is always happy and takes everything life throws at her in stride. Shepherds characters definitely starts out with grumpy ass hole vibes but as the book continues he opens up. This book is definitely one you want to read!

If this book had been written in 3rd person it probably would have been good enough to finish. Well, maybe. Some things are still off.
But the writing is so disconnected from a first person POV. It felt like someone else was telling the story, hence why 3rd person would have made it better. I always always love the male POV but not this one….
And some of the things that happened were unrealistic. Normally I love these stories, but this didn’t hit.
