If the miscommunication trope was a book. Plus the age gap was icky. I couldn't stand either character. I should have stopped after the wedding of the characters from the first book.

Too slow paced and repetitive internal monologue

the book that ruined my streak of happiness and happy reading.

wow. what a toxic-ass relationship. no, seriously, who in the hell is supposed to find a man who doesn’t let you speak and treats you like an open-for-business sign hot? I’ll tell you right now it’s not me. Jessa was so self-centered, too, and she made me like myself just a bit more because I know at least I’m not as fucked up as she is. Like Jesus Christ, I like characters that are fucked up and not jovial all the time, but not whatever the fuck this was.

the only saving Grace was jesse&katie in the background

Brody is Dirty's business manager. He grew up with the guys from the band. That also means he grew up with Jesse's little sister Jessa.......

Once again, this is my second time reading this book. Idk why, after 5 years, I suddenly decided to pick this series up again. I'm not even sure yet if I'm glad I did. 😜

I'm not sure how I feel about this read. Jessa is only 15, where Brody is 20 the first time he kisses her. When he promised to wait til she was "ready," my daughter is 15. It reads differently now. I wouldn't want a 20 year old man kissing my child of a daughter. I think it's probably just me, but I couldn't quite get behind it even if he did stop and wait till she grew up.

This book has everything. Angst, rock stars, drugs, a wedding, and even a motorcycle gang! It was a one-stop shop for romance tropes. Age gap, friends to lovers, second chance, brothers best friend, found family, he falls first....... the list goes on and on.

I did find the big reason for leaving a little convoluted. It didn't make a whole lot of sense that with all those overprotective people around her, not one of them even remotely picked up on it.

Overall, it's a fun read, but don't expect it to be deep. It's a little snack when you can't decide on your next book.

Not my favorite in the series. Loved that the character arcs carry through but did not enjoy the backstory of the two main characters as much as the others.
