Wish it was longer. Great short story. Romantic and steamy.
I completely understand that this is a novella and will generally be comparatively rushed contrasted against a full length novel. My problem is that with HOW this novella is rushed, there's almost no tension and consequently no pay off. The fact that this is set at a wedding almost entirely doesn't matter because beyond the female MC very briefly thinking that she slept with the groom instead of his twin brother that she didn't know about, the wedding setting doesn't seem to impact the story at all. The wedding itself is skipped! We only get a line about how the MC (and maid of honor) left the wedding early, which leads me to wonder if the author has ever been to a wedding, because the MC is one of the worst MoHs in history! The wedding could have been used to build up so much tension between the MCs, but instead there's no tension and no reason to really feel invested in these characters.
