The story was different and interesting. But a little too dark for me to want to read it again or recommend it. I appreciated the twists

Trigger warnings should have been stated at the beginning of the book.

More fucked up than I anticipated but good nevertheless. The content warnings for this go crazy lmfao. Did almost stop reading once or twice because of how weird it got, but I still.....enjoyed it....and kept coming back??? Sure hope this didn't awaken anything in me. Read this if you like pain during sex

This burrowed into my skin and made me doubt everything. The dual PoV, with the flashbacks really played into the uncertainty regarding what was real and what wasn't.

The time hopping in this book almost drove me into an asylum but I made it through. The story was dark, eerie, and fucking sad. The perfect gothic romance.

I loved this. Dark and tantalizing, mysterious and heart felt, desperation and obsession. Check trigger warnings ⚠️ this is not for the faint of heart nor for those looking for a fluffy romance. This was truly captivating and I was lost to the world around me as I read well into the wee hours of the morning. It kept me up at night, thinking about it.

before you read this book just know it has EVERY trigger warning possible. It is a dual POV & has multiple timelines also. If any of these things bother you, don't read the book..
I didn't really get the emotional connection between the characters, especially with the huge age difference (which normally doesnt bother me, except the FMC had just graduated high school) besides the convenience that they lived/worked in the same house.
However, the plot of the book was so out there with all the family drama that I had to finish it to know what happened. Once you thought you knew someone, there'd be a huge plot twist.
Overall, the book was very well written and was different from anything else I've read before. Think of it like a very, very, very dark beauty and the beast.

This book was everything I wanted wrapped up in everything I didn't want for the price of free (kindle unlimited). The whole book is a trigger warning, just a heads up. In my case, absolutely worth it: I couldn't put it down.
