Rating - Very Good.
In this sequel to `A Child Called It' Dave Pelzer tells us about his time as a foster child from the ages of twelve to eighteen. This book really put me in the mindset of Dave and how he coped with the after affects of his abusive childhood. Getting tossed from one foster family to another, I felt he was so desperate for love. It was heartbreaking. But I loved how through it all he had a voice and stood up for himself.

A solid critique, explanation and journey through the foster system of America, with a chilling start.
Hubby and i have discussed being foster parents one day so reading this touched me a ton and only instilled in me further the need for us to really do it when we are able to.

I hate giving these types of books a rating because how do you say someone's very horrifying personal life was a "good read" or not. I think being willing to share such a personal hardship for the betterment of others is a courageous thing to do though.
