The way this ppor child was treated is just sooooo sad. I cannot give it more stars because it was just unremittingly hard to read.
It's frightening that there are people in this world who don't care what they do to children.

This just hurt my heart the way that no one could understand how he could act the way he did. It’s like they didn’t feel that everything he experience wouldn’t contribute to who he was.
I’m shocked he even found the courage to trust anyone, let alone a foster parent.
I’m glad he made it out of that despite his mother antics even after she lost him.

A sequel to A Boy Called It, this book continues the story through Dave's teen years in foster care. Personally, this was a little bit of an easier read than the first one, as the abuse described in the first one was absolutely horrific. It is important to learn more about the foster care system, especially from someone who was a child in that system. I dd think that the writing style was still dry.
Gives some perspective on the foster care system and what the children who are in it may be going through.

The sequel to "The Child called 'It'", continues through David's teenage years and into his adult life. He is an inspiration to all of us. A must read.
