I was surprised this book was from Thalia & Sorin’s perspective. The story was good and had some surprising twists in it, but nothing like the first three books.
Some of the intimate moments seemed way too similar to the earlier books between Adara & Evren, though, and it made it feel a bit like their relationship maybe wasn’t fully tapped into to bring life to those moments.
The story seemed to wrap up quickly without much resolution being explained; but it worked. I did like the ending and how it all came together.

While I am glad we got to see Thalia and Sorin's story expanded, this felt too rushed to me. I understand the scene needed to be set to understand the why behind Thalia's need to push Sorin away, but I think too much time was focused on building that angst, and then the ending, felt very rushed for the amount of scheming that went into pushing the story to where it was.
Overall, an enjoyable read, but it just didn't hold up to the other books in this series for me.
