This wasn’t the worst but it definitely felt like a book that was written just to add an extra book to the series. It felt repetitive with Thalia and Sorin until the last handful of chapters which made this book feel a lot longer than it actually was. I was getting over their “friends with benefits but they know it’s more than that” thing they’ve had going on basically the entire time we’ve known them. Glad it ended on a happy note since he had to nearly die before she admitted to loving him.

Loved this series
It wasn't the ending I expected but it left no lose ends. Worth reading with a enticing story and unexpected twists, oh and the spice!

What a great ending to a fantastic series! I really enjoyed this series and the characters.
I know Thalia had a lot of emotional damage from the last few books, but man, did I want to scream at her!! I always had a soft spot for Sorin, so I was cheering him on and hoping she'd open her eyes and just let him in!
One thing about this book and why I gave it 4 stars..... that ending felt rushed. I needed just little more.

I really wanted to love this book because I loved these characters in the previous series. But the book lacked alot of the depth the previous books had. It was really an injustice to the characters as a whole to give them this story and have that be it. It could have easily been a much more detailed plot and execution here and it just wasn’t. Overall it wasn’t a bad book but it could have been so much better if the story had been more fleshed out.
It was... ok. It wasn't as good as the first or third one but it also wasn't as bad as the second one so its somewhere in between. There was a lot of lead up. 90% of the book is leading up to something that is over in a few pages so it was mostly just Thalia going through the motions while Sorin brooded about it.
Honestly it hurts me to rate this so low. I LOVED this series but this book was very disappointing. It felt rushed and was only entertaining in the middle. I feel like what was even the point of fighting for the human king's hand??? To spy on them? But why?? It just felt very thrown together with little thought. I'd skip this book and just end at the previous one to keep the disappointment away.
