I didn't like this book as much as the others. There was a lot of adventure, conflict and danger but Xavier and Bethany became annoying and never thought things through. I wanted to scream at them. It was still a good book though in general.
I gave in. I finished the entire trilogy. I have this "bad" habit of starting a series and, if I happen to have all books available, finishing it in one sitting, though this, technically, took two sittings. Hehe.
"Heaven" provided the ending I expected to the trilogy. Was I thrilled by the manner in which the issue regarding an angel and a mortal being together was resolved? Not really.
Setting aside my slight dislike for Bethany, this concluding story was good and kept me interested enough to keep flipping the pages until the end.

Spoiler
The fact that Bethany seemed to be one heck of a selfish angel who was too busy thinking about her wants and only remembering everyone else's needs in hindsight allowed me to not feel one bit of pity for her when she decided to give up her wings to become human. I mean, what was the alternative? Xavier dying and joining her in Heaven? Since Xavier is a halfling, any future children he and Bethany have will still have angel blood flowing through them... So, it's still a happily-ever-after for the couple.Setting aside my slight dislike for Bethany, this concluding story was good and kept me interested enough to keep flipping the pages until the end.

There's no Satan as Big Daddy references, parody of itself bits, or much of anything, really. The only thing I remember was the boyfriend being possessed by Big Daddy (yes, I'm calling him that still) because he wanted his son back.
Just stick with Hades. It's infinitely more entertaining.

I haven't finished this book and I already want to slap Bethany! Her complete lack of not doing what she's told by her more capable brother and sister when they're trying to clean up her messes really irritates me. All she does is whine and complain, defy Heaven and her brother and sister! How hard is it to do what you're told?! I would understand if she was making the right decision when not listening to them but all of her decisions are irrational and so--for lack of a better word--dumb! I have the solution to every problem in this book so far...you ready for it? LISTEN!!!!! THINK!!!! And for petes sake stop making stupid decisions!!!

So, I am done with this. I don’t have much to say. The ending caught me by surprise. It was slightly rushed. And it behooved me. Guess I will go read the gilded cage.
It was very difficult to get into the book, and I often had to force myself to keep reading. It seemed like some scenes in the story were very short and resolution was reached too easily. However, I was determined to finish the series, and at least the ending was pleasing!
