It did the thing I try to avoid in the titles I choose to spend time with, mais c’était correct pour le personnage.
I’m glad it didn’t force a cathartic moment between father and son.

screenings: s**ual content, nudity, grief, alcohol, death of parents, suicide

honesty this book took me by surprise!
I first decided to purchase it because I wanted some kind of quiet novel
and I knew that a Japanese novel would be perfect and, indeed, it was!
I loved the whole experience and vibes this book gave me
the way the book discussed grief was insightful
even though I expected the 'twist' way earlier, that didn't hinder my enjoyment
what I actually didn't like was the s**ual scenes, they were scattered throughout the book
and I skipped as much as possible so keep that in mind.
overall, I think I'll miss the ambiance this book gave me
