THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK. I JUST CAN'T. I CRIED. Like I admire June for not wanting to hurt Day but ALSO he loved her and she wouldn't make an effort and I just...this was so frustrating. The ten-years-later part DID help a bit, it gave me hope for Rebel, so we'll see where that goes.

And I'm so happy that Eden lived though, because he deserved to, and it sounds like he is in such a better place, and I'm glad. I'm happy Day lived, too, and I hope that no matter what happens, he ends up with a wonderful future because he went through so much and deserves nothing but the best. And Tess! I wish she'd been a little more of a major character in this one but oh well. At least she survived the plague. Additionally, I know the ending dealt with Day being shot (thanks a lot Jameson), but the rest of the Colonies and Republic war seemed to be cut short when we were hyped up about it for so long for the almost the whole book.

I'm so sad this trilogy is over (though I guess its not really considering Rebel--I wish it was out now and I really hope Day and June can become friends again). But still.

Anyway, I probably like this book second best after Legend, and it made me cry, so that's evidence to me that it's a good book.

What just happened. So I’ve been trying to finish up Marie Lu’s books because.. you know she’s amazing. This series was going to be one of my least favorite but then that ending of this book. Just wow. I wasn’t expecting it and I loved it. So. Much. I really need to reread this book series, because I read Legend a couple months ago and just in the last two weeks I’ve read the second and third book. I love Day and June’s relationship in this book. I also love that in the next book ( and hopefully the last ) will follow Day’s brother Eden and their next adventure. I’m very excited about it but my TBR might have other plans. I had gone to Barnes & Noble early today to hopefully buy a book. Sadly all I found were books that I either added onto my tbr list and reminded me that I have to go to the library and read all these books.

I loved this book (tho I could see how not everyone would) currently my brain cannot comprend much of anything. The theme of this book seemed at some point to be "everyone everywhere is currently in a hospital" like how I used to play with my barbie where one would always be extremely ill just because I wanted to. The romance is top tier. I formed an unnecessarily intense attachment to the characters nd the ending had me in pieces.

reading champion was a whirlwind of emotions. the chaos and conflict was enough to keep the story going but i almost wanted june and day to go in a completely different path. i know this is technically YA but i wanted a little tiny bit more tragedy. also? i honestly can’t get over the fact that June is like 17-ish and Anden is like 21-ish and he’s like obsessed with her, it feels a TINY bit creepy but whatever 🤷🏻‍♀️interested to see where Rebel goes

A great ending to this series. A bit bittersweet but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

In the end, I think they are both Champions in ways. Day surviving his coma. And June managed to go along and protect Day. This book is full of action and has constantly shattered me. But I think it was worth it. - April 2015

This book was excellent! It was very sad how Day forgot his memories of June when the doctor said that he was going to gain them back. I hope that in the fourth book, they are back together again. I saw at the end of the book that she actually dated Anden which made me have a violent reaction too but then I read that she broke up with him which made me feel better. Day is so dedicated to his brother that he ran through the fog to save his brother even after he go shot. I love how June knew that she would cause him suffering and left even if it hurt a lot.

Disappointing... I had pretty high hopes for this book. Maybe that was my mistake. This story is in my opinion boring...
