I had never read this author before but the cover and the premise intrigued me and thought it would be a good summer read. I was underwhelmed by it. This is not really a thriller, not really suspense but a death did a occur and the book builds until you found out the reveal. I usually love books where rich people behave badly but this was just meh. I was okay following the audiobook in the beginning but then the middle became a little muddy and then at the end I was just like oh okay. I wasn't shocked by the reveal but I also just didn't care. Perhaps I missed something in that middle that would have connected to what happened at the end and in that case that's on me. I had thought about DNF but I thought maybe it will all come together and it didn't. There was mixed media in between some of the chapters which was fine but I thought there would be more of a purpose of it? This didn't work for me but perhaps it will work for you!
