The first of hopefully many novels that I've read by Ellis. The split narrative is a little confusing at first, since none of the narrators are fully introduced before jumping into the story. But the weaving of the college experience of these characters are very satisfying. One of my favorite reads of the year.

Odd and disjointed and there are about five characters too many to keep track of. Still, I had a lot of fun. Not my favorite of Ellis’s (and I hated the movie when I tried to watch it, although that was years ago and I should try again) but still distinctly his work and enjoyable.

I enjoyed this immensely. My idea of hell is being locked in a room away from you but still able to see you and smell you.

the premise of someone likes someones who likes someones who likes someone and somehow theres a circle there and a triangle and a square and its just a book about life that carries on and i feel that this element of it was reflected in the way it ended. i enjoyed the new narrative ngl - very different from other books, but i know its not one id pick up again
