In the second outing for Detectives Jack Spratt (two Ts) and Mary Mary of the Nursery Crime Division, the Ginger Bread Man has escaped, bears are getting into illegal porridge, and Jack's wife discovers he's a PDR (personage of dubious reality).[return][return]Fun continuation of the mystery series. Fforde does a good job of interweaving classic nursery rhymes with crime fiction. While I like his Thursday Next series better, this is satisfying.

Anders als Band 1 aber sehr solide.

Ich wurde besser unterhalten als erwartet.

It's pretty good so far! I definitely enjoy the Thursday Next series more, though, and I'm really excited for the next book coming after Shades of Grey!

Jasper Fforde is incredibly creative, to imagine "SommeWorld," a theme park based on WWI, and so many other quirky, unexpected things, like the "right to arm bears," which made me laugh out loud each time I read it - but it was always too much to explain it to anyone else without rehashing the majority of the story. If you liked "The Big Over Easy," or the Thursday Next series, this is another treat.
