I didn't anticipate liking this. I don't tent towards memoirs, don't tend towards books about love, or even nonfiction in general. I admit I was cynical about this book.

But Dolly's style, reflective, emotionally vulnerable but humorous, nostalgic and dreamy... It felt very intimate and familiar. Even situations outside my lived experience spoke to my understanding. And those that were reflective of my own life felt frighteningly accurate.

I'd recommend it to any woman, but especially those in their mid to late twenties, on that knifes edge between the girl you were and the woman you'll be.

Fair warning, I laughed, I cried, and I was triggered by some of the content.

Entertaining, but no red string

No real concept

All over the place

Random skips ahead and back in time

Im at the stage with love she is at 30 now, so it's wildy unrelatable to me, but that's just personal

I wanted to love this book, that's why I didn't dnf but it did disappoint a little bit

I really enjoyed this book. Perfect way to begin my 30th year on this planet. I highly recommend if you’re in your 20s or 30s and need a little insight about how to live and how to love.

The perfect comfort book when all you need is a big hug. Not only is this book about love, but everything in life itself. I think everyone can take at least one thing away from this book.

I loved this book and loved the emphasis on female friendships and how they are truly so important. Definitely a good book for every girl in their 20s to read.

I am very much the target audience, and I read this, laughed, cried and laughed again. Through hilarious and moving snippets of her life, Dolly inspires and commiserates with every woman in her twenties thinking about love and other big questions. Read with a glass of wine and box of tissues.
