I’m empathetic to the author’s message and I’ve always loved reading memoirs and getting glimpses into people’s lives. The platonic love story between the author and her best friend is heartwarming and touching. I didn’t love the recipe sections and the book dragged on a bit for me. It was nothing amazing but a nice read with a nice sentiment overall.

Mmmhh, my feelings towards this book are ambiguous to say the least.
It was definitely a fun read at some points, dolly is completely unhinged. Her friendships were the highlight of the book. I would really love to have a similar one.
They were definitely some great advises given but others I completely disagree with. The problem with giving advises in a book is that it cannot targets everyone and every situation and I thinks the author did not always take that into account .
Dolly was a bit dumb at some points of her life and really careless which lead to dangerous, albeit funny, situations . I could not see myself in her, I will never behave like she did. Netherveless, it was still enjoyable to read about the wild things she did, I got to "experience" things that I would have never done through this book.

Read this for a book club and thought l'd roll my eyes the whole time and it actually was very funny and relatable.
This one is for the millennial girlies. I'm sure other generations can relate, but the dating life and female friendships just hit ditterent in the post-Sex in the City and being in your 20s during Girls (HBO) era.
If you think it's only going to be about romantic love, this probably isn't the book for you.

i haven’t struggled this much to get through a book in so, so long - i had to force myself to finish it. with the exception of a couple of chapters (‘being a bit fat, being a bit thin’ and ‘my therapist says’), i thought it was boring and not at all relatable. i found myself getting annoyed and frustrated a lot, and i thought it was far too long lol

Inutile. Scialbo. Non mi ha lasciato niente. Il solito libro acclamato dal BookTok che si rivela deludente
