Another Arkangel Shakespeare audio while driving to and from Richmond. Good play, but an obnoxious recording.
Second comedy I read by Mr. Shakespeare, and to be quite honest, A Midsummer Night's Dream is much better than this one.
They are on an island, people join, despite literally being so far removed from society Miranda’s virginity is like top of this list of concerns, then everyone fights and immediately makes up.
The Tempest is quite different from Shakespeare’s other plays, not a comedy or tragedy, but also not quite a tragicomedy. Not as dark and enthralling as Macbeth or as beautifully written as Romeo and Juliet, but always holding those classic lines and soliloquies and monologues that I’d memorise for the fun of it.
Mostly look forward to reading postcolonial discourse on this
I really loved this play and how it plays with the elements through Ariel. I really liked the different storylines it portrayed.
