4.5💫 This book felt like going home if you loved where you lived... in two places. How do you choose? The characters were lovely, kind, and real in an unreal situation. The nuances of the lives lived were felt by the reader, a true testament to the author’s ability. But the true greatness of this book is the way in which the love tangle is brought to a satisfying conclusion with originality and grace.

The storyline made me just think "Castaway from the woman's perspective". It was an okay read but not amazing or extremely special.

This book felt like 2 cozy love stories. I liked both Jesse and Sam. I really liked Emma’s arc in relation to her family and the bookstore.

I didn’t find this to be heart wrenching, more of a dull sadness. The big question is who will Emma pick and she really can’t go wrong with either. It just didn’t grab me and make me really love the characters, so that’s my only reason for a lower rating.
