This was my second time reading this! I liked it but the twist was better the first time. It felt like a high school drama. It was okay the second time around but I just don't love YA anymore.

I watched the Netflix series before reading this book so my view is slightly skewed. The story was different than I expected but I still wanted to keep reading. I’m not sure how the ending is going to lead on to the next book but it’s definitely going on my TBR.

“She's a princess and you're a jock," he says. He thrusts his chin toward Bronwyn, then at Nate. "And you're a brain. And you're a criminal. You're all walking teen-movie stereotypes.”

i've heard that this is a very hit or miss book, and unfortunately it was more of a miss for me. the romance was cute, but the plot was so slow and i found the big reveal to be underwhelming. plus, i didn't really care about any of the characters. i don't know, all in all, it was just very boring to me.

3.5⭐️ something about this book just didn’t hit for me. It was good but not great. Definitely a good plot twist though!
