This book would’ve been a 5 star read for me, but that was single handedly the worst book ending I have EVER encountered. I wouldn’t even give it the dignity of a cliff hanger, more like the author just decided she was done in the middle of a story. Absolutely no closure, so many questions, and loose plot strings. So upset with that ending that I don’t even have WORDS!!

With the name of The Haunting, I really wanted something paranormal at some point, but it’s just a murder mystery set around Halloween. Pretty much a YA thriller and okay for what it was, but I guess I should have read the blurb before just picking up the book club pick in this case to know ahead what I was reading as it wasn’t what I wanted.

It wasn't my favorite read from Natasha Preston. I usually really enjoy her books, but this one just didn't do it for me. It was a little too predictable, however, I didn't mind the ending.
