The build up and tension were amazing. So many twists and turns. I almost wish the book would’ve ended when the mansion collapsed. Tying everything up in a neat and tidy package didn’t seem necessary.

It started off promising but towards the later 75% of the book, it seemed like the twists were thrown in just for the sake of having a twist. It got pretty convoluted and some of the events that took place really didn't make sense. A lot of the revelations were extremely unrealistic. Definitely not my favorite from this author.

This book was full of twists at the end. I didn’t see any of them coming. My only complaint is that it did read like the main character was a police officer with all her questions. It didn’t feel very natural sometimes. I also thought they could’ve gotten to the point a little quicker.
