I will admit, vampires are not my thing, so I was only gonna like this so much. It's not bad. I see why people like it. There's just too much angst and vampires for me. Also the love interest age gap is weird.

I remembered a few major moments from the first time I read it, but I enjoined it a lot and liked Christian a lot. I’m not sure about Rose, but I guess I’ll decide after reading the next book, I thought she was a bit annoying sometimes, but she’s just 17 I guess 🤷‍♀️

Honestly this is a whole lot of fun. My best friend has been trying to get me to read these for probably 10 years now and I finally got around to it… and I wished I hadn’t waited! It’s not perfect, but the story is well done and it’s quite the page turner. Can’t wait to keep reading the series!

I thought the book was alright. The writing isn't bad and I find the characters to be rather interesting. I thought the pacing was rather slow and it didn't really pick up until the last few chapters. I don't care for the relationship between Rose and Dimitri.
