I didn't care for Cole before I read this, and now I'm so sad I've gone like eight playthroughs of Inquisition not caring for him.

!!Spoilers!!

I would also kill for Rhys and Evangeline, and I demand more of them being happy together.

The only critique I really have is Adrian. I'm so sad with how her character turned out. I thought in the beginning it was so nice to have this headstrong female mage who wasn't afraid to speak her mind and stand for ideals, just like Anders in DA2. But I then felt like her character was then boiled down to "I'm jealous of Evangeline and I'm mad I don't have Rhys' attention" which I feel like is such a shame. I would have loved it it for her not have been a character I felt like was added for some weird love triangle and I'm tired of female characters being boiled down to fight each other for male attention.

The third entry into the Dragon Age novels- exploring the circle of Magi and the lore of the Orlesian Empire. Overall a great read with new, interesting characters (and a few you’d know from previous books & the games!). Another great read about a badass woman and how she basically saves the day.  (Ser Evangeline my beloved!!!)

The best way to describe my relationship with Dragon Age is to say I've drank the kool-aid - all of it. I will read/watch/play anything Dragon Age and enjoy it to some extent because it's more of the fiction, lore, and world that I love! The book is only so-so, on par with the other two: interesting but not the best thing ever. However, the last 20 pages or so make it required reading for Dragon Age fans. Interesting stuff going on. Worth your time if you're a fan.
