Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye

5 Stars

Happily Ever After is a collection absolutely jam packed with some authors I know and many I didn't. I've read a few from this collection and will focus on my favorite for this review.

I am a forever fan of Marie Skye, I'll read anything she writes and know that I'll be completely sad when it's over and I have to wait to start another one. This one started out a little bumpy for me..Had to wrap my head around what was going on, kinda like coming into the middle of a movie. It did not take long to pick up what this author was doing though. I got all my answers as I kept reading and very quickly became completely invested in these characters. I literally laughed out loud so many times at these two. The back and forth was complete perfection and as the story progressed I realized I was experiencing every emotion possible while reading. I was sad, disappointed, SUPER angry at some truths that came out towards the end and then I found myself crying at the very end at how things played out. Hard to explain how much I loved this story, even though it's hard to understand at the very beginning. It completely smooths out and flows seamlessly.

Reading this shorter story has made me miss this author's writing so much that I plan to open the ones I already have and do a complete reread.

I also can not wait to read the rest of the stories I have not gotten to yet, and just know I'll come away with some new authors to keep track of.

Loved It!!

Happily Ever After is a boxed set of romance stories that will titillate and tantalise the reader. Many authors have written beautiful, sassy, sexy, steamy and so much more stories and there is a little of everything that will appeal to one and all.

Don't Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye was a quick, engaging read. When I saw Marie Skye had a story, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I could feel the chemistry and the tension is palpable. This steamy tale keeps you interested from start to finish. Marie’s writing is delightful, and you will fall in love with the characters who made me laugh and cry and everything in between as I journeyed along with the them.

Perrie is looking for a roommate, what she never expected was the one who responded to her ad. Will they remain friends or will they become so much more?

This is a review for Don't Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye
Well, I really enjoyed this story and I wish we could've gotten more of these two, I would've read them all day!
Perrie and Ash have some history, and she's never forgiven him for it. Needing a new roommate, she places an ad and never expects who it is that moves in.
From there it just got better. The chemistry between the two was coming off the pages, and I love those types of reads.
Would love to get to know them better as there was a lot to digest, which the author did a good job summarizing it all but more details were wanted in places for me.
Overall it was a great read, and that ending, ugh I loved it so so much!

Really enjoyed this anthology and particularly was found of Marie Skye’s contribution - Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You. It was a fun and quick read that for me was predictable in a very enjoyable quirky page turner. I immediately connected with the female lead and really couldn’t wait to see how everything would fall together. This story and collection are fun reads and one worth hanging onto, if you enjoy a good romance.

Happily Ever After is a collection of romance stories that can be enjoyed by even the fussiest of readers.
Don't Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye was a fantastic and quick read about opposites attracting and finding your soulmate in the strangest of situations. Each page held something riveting and I was engaged by the strong and complex main characters and their shenanigans. Their personalities battled and there was some cringe worthy moments, but on the whole, it was fabulous and very entertaining. This story proves that there is always a diamond in every rough. 4 stars.

Don't Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye is the only book I got to read out of the Happily Ever After anthology, by various authors. It was a really good read! And it was hilarious too. I was rolling from laughing so much. The main character Perrie felt so relatable, it was like hearing a tale from your best friend. The only downside to this novel I had however, was that it felt like a continuation of another story. It was hard for me to get completely lost in this, because I felt like I was missing something. It started up like it was a sequel. Again, I'm not sure if it was or not, but of it wasn't the author could have been more clear on past events to make what is happening easier for the reader to understand. Overall though I really enjoyed this novel! And I can't wait to read more from the author in the future.

Happily Ever After: Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You By Marie Skye

I really really enjoyed this book, it was so different to what I expected when I read the synopsis. I was expecting a “cutesy” romance tale of two roommates accidentally falling in love and facing the world together – and although I did get this – I was NOT expecting the amount of steam that Skye graced us with in this story. The sexual energy between these two characters was evident from the moment we meet them both. I was fascinated by both Ash and Perrie for different reasons. I enjoyed Perrie’s “take no prisoners” attitude and the way that Skye portrayed her as a strong, independent woman while also dipping into her intimate, timid, feminine side. The contrast and the way Skye teased vulnerability in Perrie’s character was particularly captivating. I wish there was more of this book, is the only bad thing I have to say about it. I wish the book was longer and we could spend more time getting to know these two characters and their backgrounds and the reasons they behave the way they do. I would have liked to learn more about Ash’s friends and the way he interacts with them, and I would have LOVED to know even just a tiny bit more about what happened after the ending. I think Skye did an amazing job of leaving you wanting more and I am excited to see what else she has to offer, I really enjoy her writing style.

I read Don't worry I still hate you by Marie Sky. The concept instantly intrigued me and after the slow/ confusing beginning, I really enjoyed it. Ash and Perrie's story was a very funny, short read that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Four ended in cliffhangers. In a box set clearly marked HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!

Two stories I passed on because I had already read them elsewhere.

When you claim HEA, deliver.

Four authors I'll not read again.

Note: This set no longer appears to be on Amazon.
