Thrilling and action-packed, but also really frustrating. Still haven't really learned much more about what's going on, but like that we got some backstory on Warren and Crane.

all my friends who love serial killers AND graphic novels really need to get these. I started reading them last year and I'll finish this weekend. LOVE this series and the illustrations are dope!

I feel like this volume set up the story really well for what is to come in later volumes and as a result I feel like nothing really happened in this volume because it was beginning to tie up plot points that were present in the first two volumes. Really looking forward to seeing what is going to happen in the next volume.

I wish I hadn't waited so long between volumes two and three, or that I'd done a bit more refreshing before picking up this volume, as this one starts fully in medias res and it took me a half-dozen pages to get reacqauinted with what's going on.

Once I was familiar with our town and cast of characters again (Buckaroo, I missed you) we seem to be right on the brink of getting some actual answers, but at the same time nothing really happens in this volume. We see Finch beat the shit out of Warren a bunch of times, we get some pretty heavy-handed foreshadowing, and my money now is on all of this being some pretty fucked up medical experiments. Which is fine, but I wish we could just get there without what felt like an entirely interstitial volume.

As you can probably tell, I was really disappointed with this one. It's not bad - the story is keeping up, and all of the people who were so great in 1 & 2 are still great and for the same reasons - but this entire reading experience felt like one big cliff for us to hang ourselves on, and not in the good way. Hoping the next (final?) volume packs as big a punch as the first few did to make up for this dudder in the middle!

This series continues to be both twisted and nuts and I continue to be thoroughly entertained. In this volume Warren tries to be of help to Finch and the others - but of course how far can you trust Warren. How far can you really trust anyone, there's revelations abound here and while some of them may be obvious they still come off as complete surprises and add perfectly to the insanity of this series. There's something up with everyone, buy their own secrets or by someone else's interference, there seem to be much more far reaching implications for whatever makes the Buckaroo Butchers what they are.

Again, if you are into blood, guts, murder, mayhem, and a good mystery/conspiracy, this is the volume for you. Definitely not for the squeamish, however.

This volume of Nailbiter contains issues #11-15.
This was another horrifying and bloody fun volume. I am finding the character of Warren more and more interesting as well as Crane and Finch. This is a spooky good series and I think I might try to wait to read more in the series towards Halloween.
