Millie Price is loud, expressive & dreams of making it big on broadway! Her father who has raised Millie is normally supportive of Millie's dreams but when she receives an early acceptance Millie is ready to leave the west coast to make her dreams come true but when her father doesn't give consent Millie comes up with another plan! She has never known her mother but that is about to change!
This was a fun read! My cheeks still hurt from smiling & laughing! Millie is a great main character & man is she a firecracker! I really enjoyed the family dynamic in this book & the romance was also a great add! It was great watching her character grow & change throughout the book! The author did a great job with her! It was fun, engaging, entertaining & heartfelt! So if you're looking for a laugh out loud & smile till your cheeks hurt & an all around fun story you are definitely going to love this book!

Thank you St. Martins Press & Wednesday Books for sharing this wonderful story with me!

I need to take a break from retellings. For me they are just getting too repetitive.

It's always a good day when you finish a book and go "you know what they've officially hit favorite author status." Emma Lord hit those early 00s vibes on the head. Our protagonist, Millie, is headstrong and theater-kid levels of dramatic which makes for the perfect popcorn-eating levels of drama.

I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own.

It made my cry a bit at ~85% (#Mom) 🥹 Every character is super cute and the pacing was great! There was a lot going on but I was never confused and every string got tied up beautifully. Also: That love story was soooo cuteee!! 💕
