Andrew Rannells is one of my favorite theatre actors, so I am incredibly biased. That being said, I have read many biographies over the last few months, and this is the only one I know that I will read again. The writing is exceptional, and his voice is clear throughout. The stories are hilarious, heartbreaking, inspiring, and, most surprisingly, relatable. I can only hope that he continues to write so that I can continue to make a fool out of myself as I laugh aloud on the city bus.
i finished this book so quickly i thought it'd take me more than a week to finish but it was very entertaining to read! i couldn't put the book down at all. book of mormon's gonna hit different now. and falsettos. i think it's about time i watch more andrew rannells stuff. (don't you think? it's about time to grow up, don't you think? it's about time to grow up and face the music. it's about time) can i qualify for stanning him now? i was hoping for a book of mormon/present day chapter but you know what i liked that ending so i take it back. i get how it's supposed to be a perspective of childhood to finally making your broadway debut. it feels as if no time has passed while reading this.
