Because of the title, I thought this book would be like one of O’Henry’s short stories. Instead, surprisingly, it has the same desperation of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. But don’t get me wrong though, they speak of quite different themes. Miller is truly a genius.

Oh well, a story of a troubled family in the 1950s, a father and son chasing the dream of becoming something big but never quite getting there. I have to say this book was meh. None of the characters were particularly interesting or charming, and I just didn't care for the ending. It was quite a boring read; maybe it is better seen on stage.

This entire play was a fever dream. I definitely think that he had dementia, and it really led him to be an unreliable character. It was kind of interesting at least.
