This was super fun to read. I learned very quickly that making logical choices was almost a surefire way to come to an untimely end, but that just made me want to read it over and over again as I tried to find the longer storylines and see what mysteries I could uncover.

Strangely darker and more claustrophobic than I remember when I read as a kid. Plus all the acid dropping, leaving the body, thought traveling stuff is way out there.

An engaging and different way to experience books. Choose your own adventure are classics for a reason

My 3 year old liked both stories we got through tonight, both were pretty different but pretty cool. I didn’t think the illustrations were very good, and they took away from the experience a little (at least in the edition we read from)

Still fun to do a choose your own adventure but just found that the endings seem really abrupt (the good ones especially), and some choices where something is warned kind of lead nowhere?

It has been many years since I picked up a 'choose your own adventure' book. I loved to read these as a child. I appreciate the reading challenge prompt that inspired me to read this book. I truly enjoy the author's creativity while puzzling through the different story options even as an adult. Although now I go through it in a much more structured fashion to make sure I always find a different story.

I decided to read these choose you own adventure books out of pure nostalgia. Remembering being a ten and eleven year old kid heading to the library with my friend and my sister on a Saturday afternoon makes me so happy.
Reading them now as an adult gives me a whole new perspective. They're really cool for kids, especially for kids who love to read.
