This story, from Francine's POV, is a unique look at the team through someone else's eyes. While Genevieve and the other's played a large part in the story, I have to say that I loved hearing about the case and the dynamics of the team from Francine. I don't want to give anything away, but the romance in this book is sweet, and I was ecstatic when it happened! This is another wonderful book by Estelle Ryan, and a must read!!

I got this book for free so I went in with low expectations. I was happily surprised when it turned out to be a well-written, quirky, clever page turner with fascinating characters. Jenny is a really great, reliable narrator - maybe one of the most reliable ever due to her extreme logic and lack of filter. And I am obsessed with her gang of protective male friends. They are written with such depth and clarity, I feel like I know them all personally.

The storyline was complex but easy to follow. There were so many pieces and most of them all clicked into place right at the very end. There were a few that were left unresolved and while I can see why that might bother some people, I actually think it's more realistic this way. I'm not sure how predictable it was, because I was so interested in the characters and their relationships that I hardly tried to solve the mystery at all, instead watching it unfold without any expectations.

Overall I can't think of a single complaint. This is really a great book.

I'm enjoying this book so far. The writing is very good and the protagonist is someone who isn't usually the focus of a novel. I appreciate that!

The premise of this book is really good... It just wasn't that exciting really!

What fun! Art forgeries, murders and stolen weapons. I originally picked this book because the author has the same (uncommon) name as I do. But Genevieve, the intrepid autistic investigator pulled me in.

2.5 stars - flawed but I still enjoyed it. Unlikely to continue with the series unless it's another freebie.
