I'd give it four stars if it wasn't for the weird Druid obsession - which again it would be fine if the writer framed it more clearly as pretty naïve American kids getting excited about another culture's mysticism. I'm not offended by it, but speaking as a Scot it's just weird to read about Bonnie's grandmother in Edinburgh teaching her *the old ways*

We have majorly diverged from the plot of the TV show at this point. Elena is a full blown vampire, Matt is somehow not the most annoying character, and Katherine is a giant white cat! The hilarity continues.
Tento článek obsahuje spoilery, takže čůs. Za co ta čtvrtá hvězdička? Za to, že Elena zemřela. Za to, že se minulost neopakovala, a že Salvatoři se nakonec přece jen usmířili. Za to, že Katherine chcípla, a taky za to, že na to, jak knížka začala, tenhle díl byl daleko lepší. Jo, je tady sice ještě čtvrtý díl, a bůhví co se stane, jestli náhodou Elena přijde k životu nebo ne, ale tenhle se mi opravdu líbil. Ale co je na tom nejlepší je to, že chci číst dál :) Jsem ráda, že jsem vůbec začala tuhle sérii číst.
3.5 stars. This was better than the first two but… when I was reading about the series vs the books, I remember reading that the series writers were trying to make the show better than the books. I think they crushed it. The show is still significantly better than the books at this point. I’m still going to work through all 13. Again, this was much better than the first two (if you can get through the first two)

Ok so this book completly tok me surprise and this was the one i meant to say had creepy characters. I was sad to hear it would end this way. But i guess it was supposed to be known as a tragedy. But then she added the fourth....
