I couldn't get rid of him, and I secretly thanked god for that.
Holy crap. This book was the best one out of the whole series, and probably one of the best romances I read so far this year. I was on a verge of tears multiple times while reading this. Emotional as hell.
We finally read about the story behind Doc and Grandpa that are the backbone of the whole Wilde Family. It's 1968 and the middle of the Vietnam War. And Liam Wilde meets Weston Marian. This book maps basically their whole lives from when they first meet to their old age. From simple connection, crew members, friendship, best friends, to lovers, and finally life partners and husbands. And the journey isn't an easy one. Some parts of the story are simply heartbreaking.
I really love this book so much, and though I think partly it's because I knew these two characters from the previous books, I think that even as a standalone story it really takes the whole damn cake. I already want to re-read this and I just finished. Read this, please, it's really good!
It was everything you would want for the Wilde patriarchs!!!
