I absolutely loved this book! I found Doc and Grandpa’s story so endearing and so cute! I loved how Grandpa was so protective of Doc, even when they were in Vietnam and how no matter where they were, they still were best friends and would do anything for each other. As they moved away from the war and went back to their normal lives, I loved how every decision that Doc made was made with Grandpa’s thoughts and opinions and no matter what Grandpa was feeling, he always put Doc’s wife and children before his own happiness because he knew that as long as they were happy, Doc was happy! I loved this so much and with the Marian family finally connecting was amazing and total chaos, but overall loving!

This book…just wow….it really packs an emotional punch. It is a meticulously crafted, beautifully written, and expertly delivered origin story filled with all the emotions, the connections and the love. Doc/Liam and Grandpa/Weston are important secondary characters in the rest of this series but hearing their story from the moment they met added even more layers to the richness of who they are and who the family is. The story will give you all the feels - laughing, crying, swooning, cringing, teeth gritting, and cheering. It included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, and heart squeezing love.

The best book yet
I have loved every Made Marian story. I have loved every Forever Wilde story. But none of them compare to this one. I'm pretty sure I spent most of this book either near tears or actually in tears. This world that Lucy has built is beautiful and having the opportunity to get a glimpse into the lives of Wes and Liam was extremely special. These families will live in my heart for a cert long time.

Yet another wonderful book in this amazing series. I have never read a book that touched me quite the way this one did.
I really loved this one, despite it making big time jumps. It was a 5 star read for me, until the moment mrs Lennox started to make connections to her other novels. For me, the novel was best until 1977.
