🌶️🌶️

Read this first in the series (worked as a standalone except the epilogue which refers to many many other characters)… now I have to go back and read the others in the series because it was soooo good!

TBRR✨

3.5-4 stars

Okay compared to the last two books in this series this one to me wasn’t as good.

I think the last 15% brought the rating down for me.. I loved the beginning 85% and once it started to go in the present and mixing with the Marian crew I started not to enjoy it as much.

Overall though Doc and Major are the best and you can really feel their love and how they came together in this book! I will say though King and Cal’s books are still my favorite!

UGH the fucking feels with this one

I feel like there needs to be a bonus star for how good this is given how many other 5-star books Lucy Lennox has written.

Doc (Liam) & Major’s (Wes) story is full of friendship, respect, love, trials, and family. I was simultaneously cheering for them to *finally* get together while mourning the losses needed to clear their path.

💐 Betsy 💐 I adored her and her place in this family Her love for and friendship with Major was precious. Thank you so much Lucy for not feeling like we needed her to be a villain in order to embrace Doc & Major.

And whew! That cover! 🔥

And the Marian/Wilde epilogue was a hoot. Need to read/listen to them all again.

This was everything. A bit of a slow burn. But it was just so perfect, the pace, the story, the characters, how it all unfolded. I think it's fair to say that this is Lennox's best book, or best book I've read by her.

They felt so real and grounded. This is a book that I will read over and over again.

Liam and Weston. UGH!. I don't know what to say. I listened to this book, And Michael Dean did a fantastic job bringing them to life.

Story or Doc and Major

I wasn’t sure I wanted to read this as it was an origin story right smack bang in the middle of the series but I am so glad I did. It was emotional and heartfelt and filled with so much longing and love.
Highly recommend reading this series.
Love the Wildes and the Marians.

Wilde Love is an extreme slow burn that's done just right. Doc and Major were serving together in Vietnam when they first met; Major a closeted gay in the military and Doc a dad with three kids at home and a beautiful wife. From the war torn tragedies in Vietnam to the family life and tragedies in the ranch in Texas, Major stand by Doc, secretly loves and gives his all. I love how Betsy didn't turn bitter at all despite she knowing of Major's feelings for her husband. The family dynamics were very heartwarming to read about. I do wish I've read other Wilde books (I've read only King's which is supposed to be read after this) because that epilogue sounds great but I have no idea who's who.
