very average book. i liked how it wasn’t so rigid in timeline and would tell us about the past and felt that helped the story a lot. i didnt really believe lila and phoebes friendship tho.. which is like the whole basis of the story

I’ve seen the Wedding People recommended a ton lately, but somehow didn’t realize that it was the same author as Notes on your Sudden Disappearance - which I absolutely loved and think of a few times of month. I think AE is a good writer and has a really unique tone. I liked this one a little less than Notes, but it was definitely a bit more lighthearted (albeit starting out on a very dark note). I think the wedding setting was really entertaining, and the characters are all very lovable despite their flaws.

More depth than I expected. Lovely mix of romance and melancholy. Great premise to start the story, and beautiful writing with a lot of heart.
