This is my first read by this author.  I picked this book on a whim because the premise sounded cute, basically a rom-com in book form.  The book was only okay. It seemed a bit long in the tooth, but the overall story was cute.  It seemed like the author was focused more on checking diversity boxes rather than developing the main characters or their story.   Everything stayed pretty shallow and repetitive, all while ending exactly how you would expect.  Overall an easy & fast read.

If this book was the not so meet cute and the 48 hours in the perfect New York love story it would have been perfection, 5 stars. However the conflict felt contrived and the ending when Franny is like omg I love you felt empty AF so 3 stars because there were some really good parts but the rest of the story especially the last few chapters, was so fucking annoying it just made me mad.

Great chemistry between Franny and Hayes, and I really enjoyed the change in perspective to see how both characters were interpreting their crazy situation. Definitely a love letter to the city of New York, and a good read for right before our trip.

This was a cute idea, but the leading man is written without a personality and I didn't love the shero either. The best part of the book are the setting and the genuine friendship dynamic between the female lead and her two good friends.

While I liked atmospheric NYC setting and supporting characters, romance was very much meh.
