When I first read this book it was my first fantasy book, so it was a perfect start, but then I was watching some people who have read a lot of books int the genre before and why they didn't like this book and I kinda agree with them that this book lack in some aspects, but my opinion didn't changed, I still love this book as a first fantasy. I loved the friendship building and how even though Violet was scared that she might die in the next second ( even though we all know that there wasn't a actually thread to her life ) she didn't let the fear take over her.
I just think that the 'Enemies to lovers' should be more really ENEMYING and less jumping right to lovers... that definitely was a lack in there, but I loved the relationship/bond that was created between Violet and Tairn, and I feel like this book was more about violet and her dragons then Violet and Xaden and I Love it. I have to admit that I kinda fell for Tairn and Liam more than anyone else in this story.
