there is a lot to say about this book, so to preface i read most of the book along with the audiobook to speed up my reading. i just didn't really enjoy this book ask much as i wanted to, it sort of felt like a chore. do not get me wrong i still was entertained and deeply followed and was interested in each and everybody's perspectives (frank is so me coded) but i really just hoped that percy and annabeth would have escaped sooner than the end of the book. i miss bob and even i will tell the stars hello to him but it just felt dragged on and on.

however, nico coming out chapter to jason was everything a middle school version of me would have wanted and more (albeit i think it is one of the worst cases of an outing imo) i really just can understand and relate to nico a lot more than i would've.

i am really excited for blood of olympus but school started and im not really sure i will have time to read :(

I really wanted to like this book. I mean I didn't hate it, it was good. But I was so bored and underwhelmed. I wasn't surprised by anything I just felt like everything was just a place holder. About the only thing I still really like is Leo. I'm glad he got some attention, but as for the rest, I think meh sums it up.

A very dark setting, well…Duh!
Oh Annabeth and Percy! Their love makes me so happy, so true and innocent, they literally go through hell (Hades) together, we see more character development from Hazel, Frank and Piper, especially Hazel!! I LOVE IT
