What a plot! The ending?!? I am shooketh
It’s giving Serpent & the Wings of Night vibes!! (but not the exact same. no spoilers here)

Things I loved:
- Love the sisterhood and the badass priestesses haha
- I genuinely could NOT guess where the plot was going next and the twists at the end were WILD

the fact I have to wait for book 2 is soo upsetting!! There were so many moments I wasn’t sure what would happen next in the book and I ate up every moment of it. Really enjoyed this!!

-strong FMC
-found family
-maze/trial

Thanks @netgalley for the #gifted eARC last year.

This really had an intriguing premise—romantasy meets Greek mythology with a promise of high stakes and strong fmc. I was drawn in by the magic, mythology and mystery until it fell flat.

Unfortunately, I found myself feeling bored and disconnected from the characters. I say this over and over again, it's probably me being not much of a romantasy gal and I just couldn’t invest in the story the way I hoped. I'm sure romantasy readers will be the better audience for this and if you've read this, do lemme know your thoughts!

I ATE this UP!! If you had a Greek mythology obsession in middle school and like your books with a bit of darkness to them, then this is definetly what you are going to want to pick up next. I could tell which parts of the lore was connected to Greek mythology and events, but Wilson was able to make it entirely her own.

I really enjoyed the FMC, I found her strong, capable and someone I was genuinely rooting for. Jason was a character that I would root for and then hate and then right back to loving him so I can’t wait to see how that plays out in the next one.

I went into this book completely blind and ended up having a fabulous time, the vibes were immaculate!

I tend to be picky with fantasy books, but this one HOOKED ME and with the final cliff hanger, I'm gonna be STRUGGLING to wait for the sequel!!

Such an interesting way to bring Mythology to life and I'm rooting for Lia and Jason despite all their hurdles!
