4.75 stars. So beautiful and gut wrenching. Everyone should read this.
Edit: Reading this a year later and I can say it made me just as emotional.

An incredibly narrated audiobook with a story that'll rip your heart right out. This is not the first time I've read about the power a rink can have in saving Indigenous youth, but it was certainly the most impactful.
This should be required reading for everyone in Canada.

Excellent book. I loved the way he talked about hockey and I am not a hockey fan.
I listened to this book again on Audible about a year after the listen. I added another star to my rating. This is an excellent book and the narrator Jason Ryll absolutely nailed it.

An excellent read. I was familiar with the atrocities of the Residential Schools - but I had never read a tale from the point of view of someone who lived through them. Eye opening to say the least. Every white person needs to read this book.
