This continues to be a very timely read with more and more coming out about Canada's Residential Schools. I'm honestly surprised I haven't seen it referenced more in discussions in the past few years.

Overall this was a great and heartbreaking read. I didn't love it quite as much as Medicine Walk and I think that's just because so much of it focused on hockey, which isn't something that really interests me. Wagamese's voice feels authentic and raw - anything by him is a good (but often challenging) read.
