Read over a long period of time which maybe impacted my ability to see the book as a whole. Always a fan of Allende’s writing, how her books scratch the itch of wanting to read a good STORY. I liked the ending and the political drama more than the beginning. But I loved how Allende’s writing is consistently compassionate, and hopeful while being realistic in its treatment of women and feminism. A pleasure to have in class.

Isabelle Allende truly takes after Marquez, capturing the great style of Latin American magical realism. A must read, especially before travelling to South America or Chile.

Había partes en las que no podía más. Personajes como Clara y Alba han sido los que me han hecho avanzar. Creo que me llevo una muy buena lección de este libro, aprecia lo que tienes. Muy típico pero cierto.
Pensaba que no me iba a gustar nada de nada pero me ha dejado satisfecha.
